Licence and attribution

The dataset is made available under the Government Open Data License — India. MandiBhav360 provides attribution and links back to the resource. Our normalized pages, entity mappings, quality labels and user interface are an independent derived product.

Daily does not mean real-time

The source contains daily observations and can add records during the day. We therefore display the arrival date from the record, not a misleading “live” badge. A stored snapshot may be rebuilt later in the same day when the source total changes.

Ingestion integrity

The API credential embedded by the public resource page is discovered in memory at fetch time and is never written into site files or shipped to the browser. The fetch job paginates token-based state filters, applies exact state matching locally, deduplicates the natural row identity and refuses to build unless the unique count matches the source total.

Known limitations

  • No transaction or arrival volume is supplied, so medians are not volume-weighted.
  • Market, commodity and variety names can contain source spelling differences.
  • A structurally valid price can still be a source reporting error.
  • Not every market reports every commodity every day.
  • The data represents mandi observations, not retail or guaranteed farm-gate prices.
